| – Celebrating outstanding achievements 2019 – Applied Learning assists students to develop vocational skills while completing secondary school. This includes the Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL), Vocational Education and Training in Schools (VETiS) programs or School-Based Apprenticeships and Traineeships (SBATs). Sponsored by Bentleigh Moorabbin Central Rotary Club the Applied Learning Awards provide a point of recognition for student progress in any of these programs. Teachers/trainers, coordinators, schools, education providers and employers are also recognised for their positive contribution to applied learning throughout the year. As well as recognising outstanding achievements of students and the adults who support them, the ALAs aim to encourage future involvement in Applied Learning and uphold the importance of these programs in our community.
