Dare2B Youth Conference provides young people with an opportunity to explore their full potential including education and career pathway options but also links to the importance of how a healthy body and mind will contribute to their success.
This year’s event will include a more interactive Careers expo with guest speakers discussing their career paths. Workshops include Mindfullness and Yoga, Wellness, Resilience Stride Workshops, DARE2B Jobs, featuring Neighbours Actress, Jordy Lucas, Emergency Services, Wheelly Good Coffee Barista Training and 5 Minute Chef featuring Stephanie Alexander’s Young Chef Olympiad 2017 Emma Cook. Once again the amazing Indigenous Hip Hop Crew will be there to entertain and get us moving.
Teachers will be invited to attend a PD for free as a taster from Stride’s Professional Development Workshops.
Dare2B Youth Conference aims to inspire young people and encourage them to achieve their potential and prevent young people from disengaging from education and/or having negative life experiences due to peer and social pressures that can impact their ability to succeed.
The conference celebrates youth culture and the suite of support services which are available to young people.
The conference aims to reach young people aged 15 to 18 years who:
- Will benefit from the information presented on the day about careers, community engagement, health & wellbeing.
- May be at risk or disengaged from education
- CALD/Koorie/Refugee background
